SIX soldiers have been injured after a man rammed his BMW into them in a “deliberate” act of terror in Paris.
The attack took place in Levallois-Perret as the soldiers were leaving their barracks in Place de Verdun to go on patrol.
The troops are from Opération Sentinelle, set up in the aftermath of the French terror attacks.
The local Mayor of the Paris suburb said he had “no doubt” the attack was deliberate after the man drove his BMW into the group at speed.
Four soldiers have been left with minor injuries, while two are seriously hurt.
Police say they are looking for a vehicle as a manhunt gets underway to find the suspect.
A police spokesman said on Twitter: “Police intervention is underway. Search underway for vehicle.”
Patrick Balkany, the local mayor for the western Paris suburb of Levallois-Perret, said he had “no doubt” that the incident was a deliberate act.
He told Balkany told BFM TV: “Without any doubt, it was a deliberate act.

Opération Sentinelle was deployed in the aftermath of the January 2015 France terror attacks, and was later deployed in the November Paris terror attacks to protect citizens from terrorism.London and France have both been hit by vehicle-ramming terror attacks in the past 18 months.
France were sickened by a third massacre in 18 months when a truck driver mowed down night-time revellers celebrating Bastille Day on the seafront in Nice.
In March, four people were killed after 52-year-old Khalid Masood drove his car into people walking along the pavement on London’s Westminster Bridge.
