World War 3: Britain draws up military plans for war in North Korea as tensions rise
THE BRITISH Armed Forces have drawn up plans to rush HMS Queen Elizabeth into service for a potential war with North Korea, it has been revealed.
Britain’s brand new aircraft carrier could be called into service earlier than planned under one scheme to fight Kim Jong-un’s army, sources have revealed to the Daily Mail.
The HMS Queen Elizabeth is still being tested and has not yet be handed over to the Navy.
The proposal has been compared to the 1982 defence of the Falklands when the HMS Illustrious came into service ahead of schedule to travel to the islands.
Speaking at the Tory Party conference Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon outlined the threat posed by the volatile military power.
He said: “North Korea’s illegal testing underlines just how irresponsible it would be to scrap the deterrent that protects us.
“It is all very well Jeremy Corbyn saying he would never use nuclear weapons but Manchester and London are closer to Pyongyang than Los Angeles.”
Pyongyang recently threatened to unleash a “barrage of nuclear strikes” against the US.
.
North Korea promised to “win a final victory” over the “trigger happy“ US in the latest provocation.
.
President Donald Trump tweeted that Mr Tillerson was “wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man”.
Triggering World War 3 fears, Trump said: “Save your energy Rex, we’ll do what has to be done.”
